CareCube has remained on the frontlines throughout the global pandemic, often taking the first step into innovative and adaptive care services such as telemedicine, mobile testing sites, onsite testing and at-home testing.
Responding to the community’s needs, CareCube opened locations across multiple NY neighbourhoods to allow testing to become more accessible in communities where little access was provided. We were also approached by many patients wishing to travel, needing results in expedited amounts of time – this prompted CareCube to acquire exclusive partnerships with laboratories and eventually build and run our own high complexity CLIA certified lab to produce our fastest result time to date.

Airline Requirements
Majority of airlines accept CareCube RT-PCR test as proof of travel; however, the tester is responsible to check on testing requirements of their destination and whether this test is accepted by the.
We run a CLIA certified, high complexity lab that is approved by FDA under EUA.
Insurance Coverage
Since travel is not encouraged during a global pandemic, testing for travel is not considered medical necessity and largely not covered by insurance.
If you have insurance on par with our CareCube providers, you will be charged $125 for your test plus any copay or deductible amount attached to your insurance plan.
If you have no insurance, RT-PCR swab test costs $225 ($100 for test and $125 for visit) per test for results in 8-10 hours.
CareCube is not a government funded testing facility but a private healthcare company and are not equipped to offer free testing without insurance
How accurate is the test?
The RT-PCR swab test detects DNA strands of the Coronavirus, where other test types detect protein biproducts of the coronavirus. This makes the RT-PCR swab test the most reliable test, though accuracy runs quite similarly throughout each COVID-19 test types.
At our CareCube in-house lab, we use the 7500 fast DX RT-PCR device coupled with the Lyra Direct SARS-CoV-2 Assay which produces a result of 98.7% accuracy.
Can a provider fill out additional paperwork required by my destination to allow my entry?
Should any tester have with them at the time of appointment any additional documentation that needs to be filled out by a provider to gain entrance to their destination, the provider can do this at the time of appointment.
